The fully non-metallic PRT-02. Built around an iguton G polymer outer ring with iglide® J4 head rings and polymer fasteners throughout, it contains zero metallic components — making it the go-to for designs that need to be entirely non-metal. This includes non-magnetic environments, EMI/RF-sensitive equipment, or any setting where metal contamination is a concern. The polymer screws drop weight by an additional 30% compared to the standard iguton G variant, making an already lightweight slewing ring even lighter.
When to use it: Applications requiring fully non-magnetic or non-metallic construction, including MRI-adjacent equipment, semiconductor cleanrooms, EMI-sensitive instruments, and any mechanism where metal screws are a design exclusion.
When not to use it: When polymer screw torque limits aren’t sufficient for the assembly, when higher tilting moments are required (step up to the aluminum variant), or when standard metal hardware is acceptable and the -LC variant offers a better price-to-load ratio.
