The space-saving solution in the PRT-04 product line. A reduced-height build preserves the platform’s load-handling and modular accessory compatibility while shrinking the Z-axis footprint for tight installation envelopes. Like the standard PRT-04, it comes in 60% lighter, 50% more space-saving, and 20% cheaper than the PRT-01, with universal iglide® J sliding elements suitable for cleanroom applications. The right call when the standard PRT-04 height is the limiting factor in an otherwise good fit.
When to use it: Mid-duty rotary applications where vertical clearance is constrained and the standard PRT-04 is otherwise the right pick, but the application can’t accommodate its full height.
When not to use it: When standard PRT-04 height fits without compromise (use the base variant for the strongest cost-to-load ratio), or when even tighter packaging is needed than the Compact variant offers — at that point consider the Micro variant.
Application areas: Compact automation cells, lab and medical instrumentation, semiconductor handling, mobile equipment, monitor and display arms, and any tight-envelope rotary mechanism where vertical clearance is the binding constraint.
