iglide® PRT-04 Slewing Ring - Aluminum Housing, iglide® J Sliding Elements

The default starting point for the modular PRT-04 product line and the platform’s all-purpose configuration. A hard-anodized aluminum housing pairs with replaceable iglide® J sliding elements to deliver smooth, grease-free dry operation at 60% lighter, 50% more compact, and 20% more cost-effective than the equivalent PRT-01. Cleanroom-capable thanks to particle emission testing in a Fraunhofer IPA-compliant laboratory, and fully compatible with the constantly growing PRT-04 modular system that lets you bolt on locking, indexing, drive, mounting, and readout accessories without redesign.

When to use it: Mid-duty rotary applications where the PRT-01’s load and stiffness are more than the design needs, and weight, footprint, or cost reduction are necessary — and when you anticipate adding modular accessories later.

When not to use it: When the PRT-01’s full load capacity and rigidity are required, when food contact compliance calls for an A180 or A181 variant, or when a specialty configuration (Black Edition, Compact, Micro, stainless) better fits the application.
