The compact-drive configuration in the PRT-04 product line. The drive interface is moved to the inner ring rather than the outer ring, with classic spur gearing to DIN 3967 — letting designers route the drive pinion through the bearing’s central bore for an even more compact installation than an outer-toothed equivalent. The aluminum body and toothed inner ring provide the platform’s signature weight, footprint, and cost advantages over heavy-duty alternatives, and replaceable iglide® J sliding elements deliver grease-free dry operation suited to high loads and high rigidity. Combine with custom plastic gears or 3D-printed pinions for highly tailored drive trains.
When to use it: Mid-duty motorized rotary applications where space is constrained and the drive pinion can be placed inside the bearing’s bore.
When not to use it: When belt drive is preferred (use the toothed outer ring variant), when the drive pinion can’t fit through the bore, or when the application needs no integrated drive at all.
Application areas: Compact automation cells, instrument positioners, lab and medical robotics, test and inspection fixtures, and any tight-envelope mid-duty rotary mechanism where routing the drive through the bore saves valuable installation space.
