The space-saving member of the PRT-02 line. Pairing an anodized aluminum outer ring with iglide® J4 sliding elements in a reduced footprint, it’s purpose-built for tight installation envelopes where a standard PRT-02 simply won’t fit. Despite the smaller profile, it has been tested for high rigidity at low overall height and retains the aluminum outer ring’s tilting moment capacity advantage over polymer variants. A cost-effective alternative to the PRT-04-CP when budget and space pressure both apply, while still delivering grease-free and maintenance-free operation.
When to use it: Mid-duty rotary applications with confined installation spaces where standard PRT-02 dimensions don’t fit, and where aluminum-grade rigidity and tilting moment capacity are still required.
When not to use it: When standard PRT-02 dimensions fit without compromise (use the PRT-02-AL for lower cost), when motorized drive is needed, or when the PRT-04-CP’s modularity is more valuable than the cost savings.
Application areas: Compact medical and lab devices, semiconductor handling, light robotics, monitor pivots, and any tight-envelope rotary mechanism where a full-size slewing ring is one size too large.
