iglide® A250 – round bar stock
iglide® A250 is a wear-optimized, FDA-compliant material designed for rotating applications in the food and packaging industries—especially in conveyor roller systems. Its unique light blue coloring enhances detectability, while its high wear resistance and media compatibility make it an ideal choice for high-cycle or hygiene-critical environments. A250 is especially well-suited for use with soft stainless steel shafts.

When to use it: For food-safe rollers or bearings requiring long service life and visibility in cleaning-intensive environments
When not to use it: When higher thermal resistance (above 194°F) is required – consider A350 or A500

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
