iglide® J260 – round bar stock

iglide® J260 delivers very low coefficients of friction at low to medium loads, even on polymer shafts. It provides efficient, smooth motion and reliable wear behavior for compact mechanisms and lightweight designs that favor non metallic mating shafts.

When to use it: For low friction sliding at low to medium loads, including on polymer shafts and in compact mechanisms.
When not to use it: For hard anodized aluminum shaft optimization, see J200; for pivoting loads with maximum wear resistance, see J3.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
