The lowest-cost configuration of the PRT-02 line. The iguton G polymer outer ring trades the aluminum variant’s tilting moment capacity for a meaningful price reduction and even lower weight, while the iglide® J4 head rings preserve wear resistance and dry-running performance. It is the optimal compromise when good load capacity, light weight, and the lowest possible price all need to land in the same package, without paying for material capabilities the application doesn’t actually demand.
When to use it: Cost-driven mid-duty applications where aluminum-grade rigidity is more than the design needs, and budget is limited. Also a strong choice when a non-metal outer ring is preferred for weight, EMI, or corrosion reasons.
When not to use it: When higher tilting moments call for the aluminum variant, when full non-metallic construction is required (use the PRT-02-P with polymer screws), when stainless steel washdown capability is needed, or when sustainability matters more than raw cost (use the wood-plastic hybrid variant).
Application areas: Budget light-robotics platforms, monitor and display pivots, kiosks, educational equipment, light packaging, and any general-purpose rotary application where price is the binding constraint.
