- Electronic monitoring of the locking pin condition
- Compact, lightweight design
- Part of the PRT-04 series modular construction kit
The smart-locking configuration in the PRT-04 product line. A sensor placed on the stainless steel locking bolt provides electrical signaling of the locking pin condition — engaged or unlocked — which can be wired into PLCs, safety interlocks, or status displays to confirm bearing state at any time. Built on the same indexed-locking foundation as the standard -ART (90° location points, push-to-release actuation), with the addition of electronic monitoring that turns the lock into a closed-loop element rather than a passive mechanical feature. Compact, lightweight, and fully compatible with the rest of the PRT-04 modular system.
When to use it: Indexed mid-duty rotary applications with elevated safety requirements where lock state has to be electronically verified.
When not to use it: When mechanical-only locking is sufficient (use the standard -ART variant), when the application doesn’t have an electronic control system to consume the signal, or when remote release is the primary requirement (use the -ART-RC variant).
Application areas: Safety-interlocked machinery, guarded automation cells, monitored manufacturing fixtures, robotics support equipment, medical devices with state verification, and any indexed rotary application requiring electronic confirmation of lock engagement.
