iglide® J350 – round bar stock

iglide® J350 is a wear-resistant, low-friction triboplastic that stays dimensionally stable at elevated temperatures. It is suited to rotational movements at medium and higher loads, combines quiet running with reliable wear behavior on common shaft materials, and meets stringent flame requirements for aircraft interiors.

When to use it: For medium to higher load rotations that see heat and require smooth, quiet sliding with low friction.
When not to use it: For extreme static loads prioritize W300; for harsh chemicals at high heat look to C500 or A500.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
