iglide® AX500 – round bar

iglide® AX500 is an electrically conductive, FDA and EU 10/2011 compliant triboplastic for ESD-sensitive equipment in hot, hygienic environments. It combines reliable charge dissipation with low friction, stable wear behavior and strong resistance to cleaning agents and process media, delivering consistent performance through frequent washdowns and elevated temperatures.

When to use it: For compliant, ESD-safe parts in food and beverage machinery exposed to heat, moisture and aggressive cleaners.
When not to use it: If conductivity is not required and cost is critical, consider A350; for maximum chemical headroom, consider A500 or AC500.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
