iglide® M250 – round bar stock

iglide® M250 is a tough, vibration-dampening triboplastic that absorbs shocks and edge loads while maintaining quiet, low-friction motion. It offers good dirt resistance and dependable wear behavior for rollers, guides and general wear parts operating at low to medium speeds.

When to use it: For rollers, guides and wear surfaces that see impacts, edge pressures or vibration and need smooth, quiet motion.
When not to use it: For extreme static loads choose W300; for aggressive chemicals and higher heat consider C500 or A500.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
