CF2 is the maximum-duty member of the PUR range — a shielded, fine-conductor control and measuring cable built for the most demanding continuous flexing, with a tighter 5 × d minimum bend radius than the rest of the PUR line. It pairs that with almost unlimited oil and coolant resistance, the halogen-free, notch-, abrasion-, hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant PUR jacket, an e-chain® range of -20 °C to +80 °C (-4 °F to +176 °F) reaching -50 °C (-58 °F) static, and gliding travel to 328 ft (100 m). Its fine cross-sections (from 0.14 mm²) suit signal, measuring, and data-style control runs that still have to survive maximum-duty motion.
When to use it: The most demanding continuous flexing of fine-conductor control, signal, or measuring lines in oily, exposed environments — high-cycle storage-and-retrieval, machining, and packaging systems where conductor count and bend life are both near the limit.
When not to use it: When a shielded high-duty PUR cable in more standard cross-sections will serve (use CF78.UL), when a shielded high-duty PVC cable would do at lower cost (use CF6), or when the dominant motion is continuous twisting on a robot (use CFROBOT2).
Application areas: High-cycle storage-and-retrieval units and high-bay warehouse systems, demanding machining and packaging units, and fine-conductor signal or measuring runs that must endure maximum-duty flexing.
