CF6 is the shielded counterpart to CF5 — the same high-duty, oil-resistant PVC cable rated for 33 ft/s (10 m/s) speeds and 328 ft (100 m) gliding travel, with a braided shield for EMC-critical high-performance runs. It shares the 6.8 × d minimum e-chain® bend radius, the ±90° torsion, the cleanroom testing, and the +5 °C to +70 °C (+41 °F to +158 °F) range within e-chains, adding noise immunity for fast-moving control and signal lines.
When to use it: Fast, long, high-cycle flexing where EMC matters — shielded control runs on long-travel gantries, storage-and-retrieval systems, and high-throughput machining and handling with light oil exposure.
When not to use it: When no shield is needed and cost is a factor (use the unshielded CF5), when you need the tightest radii and a softer design (use CFSOFT2), or when the environment calls for a tougher outdoor- or chemical-rated jacket (step into the PUR or TPE families such as CF78.UL or CF9).
Application areas: EMC-sensitive high-speed control runs on long-travel gantries and linear axes, storage-and-retrieval systems, and high-throughput machining and handling units.
