iglide® H1 – round bar stock
iglide® H1 is an endurance triboplastic for continuous service in hot, wet and chemically aggressive environments. It delivers extremely low wear and friction under prolonged operation, resists common cleaning agents and steam, and maintains dimensional stability in high humidity and elevated temperatures.
When to use it: For long-running bearings and wear parts in washdown, high-humidity or hot zones that demand low friction and long service life.
When not to use it: For direct food contact compliance, see A160/A181/A350/A500; for steam-sterilizable medical use, see HSD350.
Industry/Application Areas
- Beverage and packaging machinery
- Textile and automation equipment
- Automotive and engine-compartment components
igus® bar stock materials enable fast, flexible creation of custom components with standard tools or CNC machining. All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.
When to use bar stock:
- No matching size in the iglide® catalog
- Small quantities or special dimensions
- Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
- High compressive strength or elasticity required
- Rapid prototypes or design iterations
- Nonstandard or complex geometries
When not to use bar stock:
- A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
- Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
- Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
- The full catalog of semi-finished products is available in the Downloads tab.
Note: Our bar stock is manufactured with excess dimensions.
