CF140.UL is the shielded sibling of CF130.UL — the same medium-duty, oil-free, cleanroom-tested PVC cable with ±90° torsion and 50m gliding capability, plus a braided shield for EMC-critical runs. It shares the 7.5 × d minimum e-chain® bend radius, the +5 °C to +70 °C (+41 °F to +158 °F) range within e-chains, and the UL/CSA and NFPA 79 approvals, adding noise immunity for control and signal lines that work hard in clean indoor environments.
When to use it: Medium-duty flexing and light torsion indoors where EMC matters — shielded control and measurement runs in cleanroom-adjacent handling, packaging, and automation that cycle beyond low-duty ratings.
When not to use it: When no shield is needed and you want lower cost (use the unshielded CF130.UL), when oil resistance is required (use the shielded, oil-resistant CF160.UL), when you need higher speed or longer travel (use CF6), or when the environment becomes outdoor or chemically aggressive (step into the PUR or TPE families such as CF78.UL or CF9).
Application areas: EMC-sensitive medium-duty control runs in cleanroom and hygiene-conscious automation, packaging machinery, and indoor handling systems with light torsional movement.
