CF9.UL is the UL-listed, very-high-duty TPE control cable — built for the same long, cold, oily travels as CF9 but carrying the UL listing North American machine builds require. The PVC-free TPE jacket is abrasion-, notch-, hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant and UV-stable, the cable bends to 5 × d, glides up to 1,312 ft (400 m) and beyond, handles ±90° torsion, and resists oil and bio-oils. It flexes at low temperature and runs from -50 °C (-58 °F) static to +100 °C (+212 °F) in the e-chain®, with UL/CSA and NFPA 79 approvals making it the code-compliant choice for demanding long-travel automation.
When to use it: Very-high-duty, long-travel flexing on UL/NEC-compliant machinery in oily (including bio-oil), cold, or outdoor settings — storage-and-retrieval systems, high-bay warehouses, and machining centers built to North American code.
When not to use it: When you need a shield (use the shielded CF10.UL), when UL listing isn't required and you want the maximum mechanical capability (use CF9), when the priority is the smallest bend radius in a fine cable (use CF98.PLUS), or when a lower-duty PVC or PUR cable such as CF5 or CF77.UL.D will serve.
Application areas: UL/NEC-compliant storage-and-retrieval and high-bay warehouse systems, machine tools and machining centers with bio-oil exposure, and outdoor or cold-environment automation requiring long travel.
