This newly developed X-ray robot presented a special challenge for cable management. Cable carriers had to be able to accommodate a variety of cables, fit in a very tight space and could not restrict the robot’s range of movement. In this case, two e-chains® of the twisterchain® series are used moving in opposite directions. These e-chains® have been specially designed for circular movements. Since the robot is mounted on the ceiling, the twisterchain® system was installed with a stationary upper run and moving lower run.
