Our self-lubricating conveyor rollers, designed with our high-performance iglide® polymer materials, provide precise, grease-free guidance for conveyor belts. They offer a tight deflection radius and require a low amount of drive power. They’re also easy to assemble, extremely cost-effective, maintenance-free, and resistant to dirt, dust, corrosion and chemicals. We offer standard conveyor rollers as well as custom solutions manufactured from the materials below.
Benefits:
Regarding Variopac Pro, a fully automatic all-rounder packaging system, Krones faced a problem in 2005: the system's performance had to be increased by 20 packages per minute. Hence, there was an urgent need for action during the deflection of the conveyor belts.
It is not only raw bakery products that present the machine manufacturer in the food sector with considerable challenges. If two conveyor belts are butt-jointed to each other, the radii of the conveyor rollers result in a gap between the two belts.
Conveyor rollers are used in material handling, primarily on conveyor belts for the food industry and for the beverage industry. In many applications, igus® conveyor rollers from high-performance plastics help to transfer the transported goods to downstream conveyors during the deflection.
We produce custom conveyor rollers according to your specific application requirements. Click the button below to request a consultation on selecting the appropriate materials and manufacturing process.
To give you precise details on the wear rate of our conveyor rollers, these are examined under realistic conditions in our test laboratory. Four different iglide® materials as well as PET-P and POM-C were tested. To also make statements regarding the wear behavior depending on the shaft materials, conveyor rollers were tested on V2A and silver steel shafts.
Conveyor rollers made of various iglide® materials running on 304 stainless steel shafts were tested. The materials were tested at speeds of 0.3m/s and 0.6m/s.
