This newly developed gas-fired furnace only requires onethird of the usual time to heat up rollers in the steel industry. Temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees Celsius are now reached in 70 to 90 minutes instead of in 240 minutes. The furnace is mobile. It requires gas, compressed air, electric current, and diverse control and measuring system cables. These are safely guided with an igus® energy chain cable carrier of the E4/00 family.
