iglide® PRT slewing ring bearings are ready-to-install rotary joints for self-lubricating, dry operation. The design is based on maintenance-free sliding elements made of tribologically optimized iglide® materials instead of metal rollers or balls. In combination with rings made of lightweight anodized aluminum or stainless steel, these iglide® materials are universally applicable. They can be used in applications with high temperatures, moisture, chemicals and even for food processing.
Benefits:
New PRT-04 slewing ring bearings are 60% lighter and 50% more space-saving than PRT-01. The installation height has been reduced by half, offering even more design freedom. PRT-04 is also wear-resistant and contains maintenance-free iglide® sliding elements.
Self-lubricating and maintenance-free slewing ring bearings move the control panel. They ensure low coefficients of friction for a low actuation force during pivoting.
This assembly station is characterized by continually turning in a circle. Circular movements are always accompanied by great frictional resistance, which means the conventional bearings quickly reach their limits. The solution: maintenance-free and self-lubricating slewing ring bearing from igus®.
Today, lightweight, robust, self-lubricating polymer bearings are installed in a wide variety of locations in Niles Simmons machine tools and machining centers.
