Product description
Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglide® i230

The iglide i230 laser sintering powder stands out as another all-rounder material among the iglide SLS materials. Unlike iglide i3, however, it is designed for higher application temperatures and withstands long-term temperatures of up to 110°C (230°F). Moreover, the material is 80% more wear-resistant than PA12. Of all iglide SLS materials, iglide i230 has the highest flexural strength. In addition, it is electrostatically dissipative and free of PFAS.

When to use it?
  • When a PFAS-free material is required
  • If the application temperature is above 80 °C in the long term and at a maximum of 110°C (230°F)
  • If components with high mechanical strength (also structural components) are required
  • If components with ESD properties are required up to 110°C (230°F) application temperature

When not to use it?
  • If components with higher wear resistance at max. 80°C (176°F) application temperature are required (→ iglidur i3)
  • If components with ESD properties up to 80°C (176°F) application temperature are required (→ iglidur i8-ESD)
  • For worm wheel applications (→ iglidur i6)
  • If the application requires a food-safe material (→ iglidur i6 or iglidur i6-BLUE or iglidur i10)
  • When components with higher elasticity are required (→ iglidur i10)
  • If the application temperature is higher than 110°C (230°F) in the long term (→ iglidur A350 or iglide® RW370-PF)
