iglide® G300, TX1, and Q2 polymer bearings are ideal for use in heavy-duty applications in dirty environments. We embed solid lubricants into each of our bearing materials for dry-running, grease-free operation. Additionally, we add base polymers for high wear resistance and reinforcing fibers for high loads and surface pressures. All iglide® bearings are maintenance-free and resistant to dirt, dust, and corrosion. Some materials, such as TX1, offer extreme loading capabilities.
iglide® bearings can be used with any shafting surface but work best when paired with GKF. Our GKF shafts are three times more corrosion resistant than zinc or nickel plating and extend the service lives of our bearings by up to 40-60%. In our test laboratory, all iglide® plastics are tested intensively for coefficients of wear and friction, with over 10,000 tests per year providing the basis for our data and service life estimates.
The company Ets Payant created a pulley module that can move soil out of pits that are up to 65 meters deep. All components used had to withstand severe impacts, weathering effects, and a lot of dust, which was no problem for iglide® bearings.
iglide® plain bearings replaced composite bearings in the joints of a high dump bucket. They exceeded the required service life, required no maintenance, reduced weight and were about 40% more cost-effective than previous versions.
