Polymer bearings used in oscillating pendle axles for semi-trailers

Bronze bearings were initially to be used in the oscillating axles of the semi-trailer. However, as these require additional lubricants, maintenance and servicing would have become very time-consuming.

The use of iglide® G plain bearings as well as iglide® X thrust washers made the use of additional lubricants unnecessary and reduced maintenance and servicing to a minimum.

Ets Payant, a French company, produces a pulley module which is attached under an excavator boom and moves earth out of pits up to 65 meters deep. All components must withstand weather conditions, dust and severe impacts. That is why the design engineers used igubal® W300 double joints, iglide® P fixed flange bearings, iglide® G thrust washers, and drylin® R aluminum shafts.
 
The pulley module is designed for a conventional 40-ton hydraulic excavator and consists of a winch module and a hose reel. It weighs just under 7 tons and is attached to the boom of the excavator with a quick coupling system. In addition, there is the guide roller module, which is also attached to the end of the shovel of the bucket with a quick coupling system.
