Sleeve bearings by igus®

igus® sleeve bearings are made from self-lubricating iglide® plastic materials which facilitate smooth, maintenance-free linear movement between moving parts within high-motion applications and often offer multiple advantages over typical metal bearings. When compared to metal bearings, iglide® plastic materials allow for better wear rates with thinner walls, helping eliminate the potential for lack of accuracy, high-friction rates, and excessive noise. Additionally, undefined play an essential role when working within settings that do not allow for contaminates, such as food, beverage, or clean-room. All iglide® materials are rigorously tested within our 41,000 sq. ft. laboratory to ensure long service life, especially within highly-corrosive or harsh environments where typical metal bearings would corrode and fail, causing unplanned downtime.
