The winner of the 8th manus® competition for plastic plain bearing applications was announced by igus® on April 26th 2017 at the Hannover Trade Show. 541 entries from 35 countries had entered their creative applications to compete for the gold, silver and bronze manus®.

The manus® awards ceremony at the 2017 Hannover Trade Show

The winners of manus® 2017 were honoured and received the manus® award by igus® CEO Frank Blase (right), Gerhard Baus, Authorized officer polymer bearings, (4th from the left) and Tobias Vogel, Head of Business Division iglidur® bearings and drylin® linear technology (left). The gold manus® was won by Pathway in cooperation with Levitate Technologies from the USA. The Silver manus® was presented to Ocean Innovation System from France, the Bronze manus® 2017 was won by student project UB-SPACE from Germany.
