Sound pressure level comparison: E61.29 is the favorite for particularly quiet operation

In many industries, the sound pressure level of machinery is becoming increasingly important. As a result, individual machine components including e-chains®, are selected with this factor in mind. To address this, igus® has conducted tests to identify which e-chains® from the E6.29 and E61.29 series are best suited for applications where noise sensitivity is critical.

During testing, both chain types were operated at speeds of 3.3, 6.6, 13.1, and 19.7 ft/s. The evaluation was performed by a tester wearing headphones, following a clock generator to ensure consistent movement.
