Lubrication-free drylin® W linear systems are maintenance-free and resistant to external influences. Thanks to their special design and the materials used, such as hard-anodized aluminum or stainless steel, they run particularly quietly. This makes them suitable for use in side doors of yachts, sliding doors, shock absorber systems and pull-out drawers in furniture, for example.

To absorb shocks, the Canadian company Professional componente has developed the Shockwave S5 shock absorber for seats. The built-in iglidur J4 plain bearings have to withstand shocks of up to 5g with a maximum passenger weight of 150kg. Further requirements were freedom from corrosion and maintenance as well as a low coefficient of friction

Roswell Marine builds boats with telescopic roofs. This way, drivers can determine the height of the roof, e.g. to pass under low bridges. The E2/000 e-chains allow for safe cable guidance while withstanding the salt water and constant vibrations and shocks.

For the latest seat version, the designers at Kaj Naval used a drylin W linear guide for the spring-loaded shock absorber. It ensures that the seat glides smoothly even at high speeds and absorbs the vibrations of the shafts. Thanks to the use of tribo-polymer sliding elements, the guide carriage has no lateral clearance and shows no signs of wear even after a long period of operation.
