I already use an iglidur material, but it is not suitable for food. Which material do I have to switch to?
We have the FDA and EU 10/2011-compliant counterparts to our non-food materials listed here for you.

With a wide range of materials for our plain bearings, bar stock, sliding foils and 3D print filament, we also offer solutions specifically for the food and beverage industry.

Depending on the installation location and purpose of the component in the machine, but also depending on the country, the requirements for the materials used differ significantly.
In addition to FDA specifications or the EU 10/2011 regulation, there is also the 3-A standard, which is specifically used in the production of dairy products. In addition, country-specific requirements must also be observed, such as GB4806.1 (China) or the Food Sanitation Act (Japan).

This raises the question: Which material is actually compliant with which regulation?

There can be major differences depending on the material. While bearing materials such as A180 are compliant with the requirements of the FDA, the contents of the EU Regulation EU 10/2011 and the Food Sanitation Act, the all-rounder A500 can also be used for the highest standards. It also meets the requirements of the 3-A standard and GB4806.1.<br /><br />

Not every FDA- and EU 10/2011-compliant plain bearing is the same. Depending on the specific area of application in the food industry, different requirements are placed on the bearings. We will show you which bearings are particularly chemical-resistant or temperature-resistant.
