The energy supply system in risers must withstand harsh environmental conditions. They must be reliably guided at temperatures from -20 °C to +50 °C and be able to withstand soiling and long unsupported lengths. The issue of maintenance also plays an important role, especially in terms of speed.
The energy chain systems used should also be quick to replace. However, equipping entire systems with spare parts within a few minutes is a major challenge with long unsupported lengths.
