Plastic ball bearing news

This xiros® cleanroom radial ball bearing uses xirodur C161 rings, a xirodur A160 cage, and glass balls to deliver low particle emission and high abrasion resistance for battery production, semiconductor, and other clean room applications. It has been tested in the igus internal ISO 1 clean room laboratory and is built for high purity processes from 0°C to +60°C.

This xiros® axial ball bearing adds an iglide® J3B cage to improve service life at moderate loads and higher speeds compared to versions without a cage. In igus lab testing, cage versions showed 60% less wear than axial bearings without cages, making them a strong fit for compact applications with continuous axial loading.

This conveyor roller pairs a stainless steel tube with zirconium oxide ceramic bearings in PEEK adapters for strong dimensional stability in harsh environments. It is built for temperatures up to 250°C and chemically demanding conveyor applications, with igus testing showing up to 40x longer service life than a high temperature plastic material.

This xiros® ceramic radial ball bearing uses zirconium oxide or silicon nitride rings and balls with a PEEK cage for applications that need chemical resistance, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability through temperature changes. It is rated for temperatures up to 250°C, and igus says silicon nitride can deliver up to 65x longer service life than the standard PEEK ball bearing in lab testing.

This xiros® Saturn ball transfer unit is built for tight conveyor layouts that need low installation depth and easy mounting. Its extra collar holes support flexible installation, and igus testing showed a 30x better wear rate than the standard version while keeping the unit 100% grease-free.

This conductive xiros® ball transfer unit uses xirodur F182 to provide contact resistance below 10^4 Ω and help protect goods and users from uncontrolled discharge. It is a strong fit for semiconductor and other ESD-sensitive applications that need smooth multidirectional motion without grease.
