We at igus specialise in wear-resistant, lubrication-free and low-maintenance components made of high-performance plastics for moving applications of all kinds. Every year, we introduce a large number of new innovative products that ensure the considerable, steady growth and sustainable corporate success of igus SE & Co. KG. The focus of these many new products and product range additions is particularly on specific applications that we can improve technically and/or solve more cost-effectively, true to our slogan "Tech up, cost down". In addition to concrete, tested new products, we also regularly present design studies, i.e. ideas that have been moulded into initial drafts in order to sound out market potential. Here, too, there is usually already a specific challenge/application in the background.

Components for battery production
Next level battery manufacturing - particle-free. Lubrication-free. IPA-approved
The production of high-performance batteries requires highly automated production lines with special chemicals and dry cleanrooms that place the highest demands on e-chains, bearings and cables. As lubricants can change their specifications under these conditions and cause maintenance work and downtime, the use of lubrication-free components is essential.
The solution: Our lubrication-free and maintenance-free components, such as plain bearing and linear technology as well as e-chains and cables.

e-spin for Series E4Q
Constant tethering height and smooth running
With the e-spin, we are expanding the E4Q family with a quiet and safe guide for long travels of up to approx. 30m - without a guide trough. Smooth, safe running over any travel length. A standardized connection height for all axis lengths reduces versions, design effort and assembly time.

Optimum hose guidance
To extend the inner height and for guiding oversized hoses. The extender crossbar clip can also be retrofitted to existing applications if required.

Energy chain series YRA
Easy to upgrade: YE chains now chip-resistant with aluminum lids
The YE series can now also be fitted with aluminum lids. Widths start from 100mm inner width and can be adjusted in one millimeter increments. The aluminum lids ensure a very tight overlap and prevent the ingress of particles.

Compact e-skin flat modular system
Modularity for small spaces
e‑skin® flat multi‑pods with 2 to 6 SKF12C modules significantly reduce the installation depth of the mounting brackets, enabling a more compact design. When combined with the single‑pod modular system, all accessories—such as support chains—remain fully compatible.

More stability, easier to assemble
The new support chain with a radius of 55mm has been added to the radius portfolio. As it uses "bolted joints" or "pinned joints", it can meet increasingly challenging application conditions and is easier to assemble. The e-skin® flat with support chain is also simpler to extend and shorten. The support chain is guided in the e-skin flat POD SKF12C and can be integrated into the existing structure of the mounting brackets.

Straight run guaranteed
The layer holder ensures straight guidance of several layers of e-skin® flat, even in the case of very long unsupported lengths. In this way, the e-skin flat layers lie strongly on top of each other and can utilize the unsupported specifications of the support chains, even if these are not present in every layer. The layer holder has no influence on the cleanroom class and is available immediately.
e-skin soft ESD
Cleanroom classes, small installation space and ESD protection
The tried-and-tested e-skin soft is now available in sizes 20, 24, 28.068 and 40 in dissipative material. This prevents the formation of electrostatic fields and the abrupt discharge caused by the movement of the black e-skin soft due to the material. The e-skin soft ESD is suitable for the highest cleanroom classes and requires very little installation space. It has a self-supporting function and a closed design.

Overhead charging cable management for AC charging points
The e-tract AC horizontal is an electrically powered, ceiling-mounted or truss-mounted cable management system for AC charging points. It enables the charging cable to be extended and retracted automatically, thereby reducing the space required, the mechanical stress on the charging cable and the risks posed by charging cables lying around.

Convenient cable retraction in confined spaces
The e-tract mini is a small, linear retraction module with stepless cable locking. Compact type, defined bend radius and economical construction with standard parts.
tri-spool for crane systems and handling equipment
Move heavy loads safely and quickly in confined spaces
The tri-spool can run many different cables in a very small space. The system combines two different energy supply systems: A triflex® R e-chain is guided by a roller and ensures that the energy supply system is always exactly the right length and tension thanks to an integrated retaining spring. In the home position, the e-chain is completely rolled up to save space. The twisterband® connects the roller with the shaft end block, serving as an interface to the supply side cables.

The slip ring-free cable feed system
The e-spool® shore power is a motorized cable drum for unwinding 1-4 cables that are suitable for use in high or low voltage shore power connections. Direct, uninterrupted cable guide from the switch cabinet to the connector. Insensitive to seawater, cold, heat and vibration.

High speed over long distances
Guide trough for side-mounted gliding energy chains on travels of up to 100 meters. Thanks to the design of the guide channels, speeds of up to 10m/s and running performances of over 200,000km are possible. Further advantages are the flat design, the simple assembly and the smooth running of the system.
